Honduran Ministry - The World Health
Organization has developed a program to train village workers. This is
a tried and proven program, it is being used throughout the world. The
Honduran Ministry (of the Church of the Resurrection in Dallas, Texas)
and the Episcopal Diocese of Honduras is a ministry dedicated to applying
this training program to people in Honduras.
All the details for starting the training program in San Pedro Sula have
been worked out with Bishop Lloyd Allen (Honduras). People to do the training
have been enlisted. The materials to teach and implement the program are
in place. Lodging for the trainees has been found. All that is lacking
is the funding. We are seeking $25,000 in order to launch this program
in the year 2004.
Checks should be sent to the Church of the Resurrection in Dallas, TX
with the note, "For the Honduran Ministry". If you are interested
in helping and need more information, please contact Trish Goller at ted_goller@sil.org.
Trish Goller is a member of the Church of the Resurrection, a nurse practitioner
with mission experience through Wycliffe Bible Translators and served
in Mexico for four years. |

Philip and Jennifer Leber/Church of Uganda
- Since 1998, we have had a "life on life" ministry of teaching
and discipleship to young men and women who are the future leaders of
Uganda. We work directly for the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, a
nine million-member Province of the Anglican Communion, and work throughout
the country’s thirty dioceses.
The Great Commission calls for us to go make disciples of all nations,
teaching them all that Jesus taught. We understand that this involves
more than sharing the Gospel; we must teach and share our lives as well.
We help the people of Uganda most by sharing Christ’s love and teaching
the Bible precept by precept, coming alongside them as they grow in faith
and knowledge. We maintain a website at www.ugandamission.org |
